 Hugh Jackman was fantastic as Jean Val Jean, as was Anne Hathaway as Fantine. My favorite was Helena Bohemian Carter as Madame Thenardier because she plays roles that are usually given to an older woman with a belt-y voice. She isn’t like that, but she still plays the roles amazing, and better than the stage version in my opinion.

My one problem with the singing is Russell Crowe as Javert. He was terribly miscast. He has an amazing acting ability, but his singing drains his performance in Les Mis.
